HRD means Human Resource Development.
Human Resource Development is the framework for helping employees to develop their personal and organizational skills, knowledge, and abilities. It includes opportunities such as employee training, employee career development, performance management, coaching, key employee identification and tuition assistance.
HRD deals with maximum utilization of employee’s skills and abilities towards attaining organizational goal
A recent trend in HRD observed during the time of recession was Swapping of Employees which was done between Google and Procter & Gamble. This was done to learn from each other and develop customer service, to develop new ideas and new cultures while exploring mutual incremental process improvements.
This particular column would help us to know more about current trends in HR by active participation of all because each one of us definitely has something new to share.

ReplyDeleteGood to see everybody wants to know and contribute towards the changing trends in HRD , When we discuss these things the image which comes to my mind is that the industry is running and we are chasing it. Where as we plan to have vice versa so we have to be prepared for that.
I dont know much about HRD but the basic principle i have heard many times. I think new trends are the simple solutions to your latest problems. I havent heard of any such trend in the near future. Hope to know something from you people.
