You can share what different thought you have generated about being successful and being effective .
Any new ideas are welcome if it was not shared yesterday .
I hope some of us or all of us may have reviewed of at least have thought about the discussion we had yesterday.
There are many thing about which we are unaware and that can be known by this medium of knowledge sharing session .
Thank you to all of you for your kind support so far, hoping the same in future by not missing any of the session.
I suggest and request each one of us to be well prepared with few points to discuss in the next interaction which can make the session more productive and interactive .
We would be thankful to the dictator of this session if he leaves his comment about the interaction he had with us ( Please let us know if you feel some thing more to be added or done to make this valuable time more prominent) .
Waiting for your comments ...........
In this session we have discussed and come to know many such points which were not paid any attention in our day to day life. There are many aspect of life which we may be aware of but never tried to understand it clearly till the time we come to some group interaction.
ReplyDeleteIn today’s competitive world group interaction or group discussion has become very important part of life which helps an individual to open in front of others and keep their views. Many time it happens that our views change after group discussion . But it should be in a proper manner and not like TV news channels have with the politicians where nothing gets concluded. It’s a waste of debate where only blame game is played.
I would like to give a very good example ( a Hindi Movie ) of a group discussion of 13 people where you can see a paradigm shift of people against a person who is accused of killing his own father. The movie name is “Eak Ruka Hua Faisla” . This entire movie is in a single room . But it shows the importance of group discussion .
Many time our mind is set towards a particular topic having certain thoughts about it but it may change after getting a clear picture on it .
It was really a very good session after all, where we covered lot of points related to Personality & Character and its importance in today’s fast growing world.
Firstly I would like to thanks Rakesh Sir for starting such a nice knowledge sharing session.
ReplyDeleteIt was very interesting due to active participation of all, as it was highly interactive session we all learned many new concepts in a very simple manner.
The session has helped to understand the importance of individual and team efforts in personal and professional world, how individual’s character and personality could help him to grow individually as well as to organization as a whole.
Eagerly waiting to attend remaining sessions.
Hi everybody,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all thanks to Arvind for the initiative,co ordination and efforts undertaken to start the session.
I think the session was really great because i had planned for two things i.e Introduction and Habit 1 - Be proactive , but we could do only introduction. Only because of active particiation of each on of you.
I Appriciate the sincerity of every body in participation , this has really motivated me to take other session more effectively.
Just try to absorb as much as possible from contribution of each person.
While in the session be free flow and let everything in your heart and mind come out.
All the best and Happy new year to all of your.
First of all Wish you all happy new year in advance, I really thank all the people for attending this session and showing their interest in this session, plz keep some of the thing in your mind while attending this session that , this is not a lecture or training, but whatever we are going to learn over here is normal thing which we do or we think in our day today life.
ReplyDeleteThese principle or habits are not developed by any single individual but these are there in us, so this session is just a refreshing session for your own principle's and habit's.
Dear All
ReplyDeleteFirst of all Wish you a very happy and successful new year. I could not attend yesterday session but I heard some of the comments which you were discussing. It seems to be a really great session as I can see the comments which all of you are writing on blog. I hope you all will carry the same passion for upcoming session as well. I will also try to join the same.
When we have started our discussion on these sessions the first thing came into mind is “yaar” we know all these habits and these are so simple to remember. But when we further analyze these then came to a conclusion that yes these are simple to remember but really difficult to follow and make them habits. You will feel that we all are following these habits but purely on our own convenience (requirement basis). What I have learnt from two or three days discussion that now I have became bit conscious about our day to day behavior and try to correlate the same (behavior) with these habits or some of the elements. For example In Introductory session we have discussed about one element, that first listen and then reply. Now whenever I start my discussion with some body I really see that other fellow has finished his view and then I start thinking on the same and reply. Even this task is not that easy because, it is a human behavior that whenever we discuss something with somebody we start thinking in our mind “what to reply” without listening other’s view in proper sense. But now whenever such thing happens I immediately come to know that I have replied bit early or I have not listen him properly.
So friends this is one of the element which I came across after our session and trying hard to make this as habit.
We will discuss some more while we carry our next session.
Well said Manoj Sir, these points were really very true that after reading or listing about the habit we think that these are the simple habit and we can definitely remember this and we know much about this, but after the discussion starts we understand that there are many details of these habits about which we are unaware. Each one of our colleagues has some different and relevant information about the every topic which can come out in front of every one in form of group discussion.
ReplyDeleteBeside that listing habit is very very important part of good and successful communication , which should be developed by each one of us. This is not only for recruitment business but to get success in any field listing habit should be adopted by every individual .
Thank for such a wonderful information ...
Hope you join us in the next session and make it more fruitful with your knowledge and conversation .....
Like all of you , Even i would thank my seniors for starting this blog and then such sessions. Indeed it has given a boost to our morale to a great extent.
ReplyDeleteIt has given us a platform to express our selves in a more sensible way.
Such activities should be encouraged by our active participation. It has to be followed by all of us as mode of knowledge sharing , entertainment thats going to do value addition to our selves.
I am looking forward to attend more of such type of sessions.
In our last session , we had a discussion about Paradigm Shift which refers to a change of perception or realization of fact or facts over prejudices or pre conceived notions as per my understanding.
As we all experience such shifts in our day to day life.
I would like to share a small example of such a shift. Some time back i had gone for a movie named Rocket singh.... As per me movie name was not so interesting and the trailors that i saw was not so gr8. But after watching that movie I realised what was the reason behind its name. And the movie was also upto the mark. So after watching that movie I had a paradigm shift by accepting the movie again and the idea of the tittle ROCKET SINGH ... and also liked the sissy song pocket main rocket hain ..............
Hi All,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year to everyone.
It was really nice attending such an interesting session; I would like to thanks Rakesh sir for highlighting such important and un-noticeable factors of human life. Paradigm shifts are good medicine. As every one shared their experiences and views I started paying attention to each and every situation; I badly need paradigm shifts in my life as I have a set of negative thoughts in my mind.
Human nature is very selfish we always try to make things work as per our comfort ability. There really is a different way of understanding the world. When you come into this new knowledge you are said to have undergone a paradigm shift. It is like 'waking up from sleep'.
The most interesting part of the session was to know the importance of personality and character. It was well described in a form of a tree.
"Personality is on the surface; character is deep inside.
You have a great personality if you are out-going and always know the right thing to say to people.
You have a great character if you are honest even when it's difficult to be so.
You can almost fake personality, but you can't fake character.
The difference between personality and character is somewhat like the difference between weather and climate."
Coming to the character part it is clearly mentioned that “You have a great character if you are honest even when it's difficult to be so." What about being diplomatic? Is it Wrong or Right.
Thank you Rakesh sir, for making the session so interesting, interactive & appreciating our views, encouraging us to speak out in the session, initially I thought it would be of lecture type session, communication flow would only be from one side, but it wasn’t.
ReplyDeleteAs Manoj sir & Rohit sir said these are the points & habits which we already knew, but difficult to link with each other. I came to know many new things in this session like changing thought process is known as Paradigm Shift...
For me one main concept cleared is that difference between personality & character. We know importance of all these points but very difficult to follow in our daily life. Following these habits in our day to day life is a very challenging task. For Example Principles are there, but we modify it as per our comfort level.
Very nice question Hajira, for me we have to be diplomatic with only certain people not with everyone (not with closed one)...because sometimes people don’t like straight forward answers, so saying the same thing in a tactful manner helps you a lot.
Happy New Year!!!!!
First of all I would like to thank Rakesh sir for this amazing session because
ReplyDeleteSir was explaining all the points in a simple manner and everybody shared their
Practical experience. Definitely it will make an incredible impact on the
Way we work and live our life. It was really refreshing our view, motivating
Kind of session
Whole session was nice but I have underlined some points in my mind
Like Importance of Effectiveness, how the character and personality are
Inter -related to each other. And paradigm shift teach us that we should not have
pre conceived notion about anything
Now a days everybody is busy in their life we don’t have time for “Self analysis”
This is the reason why everyone needs this kind of session. It would help us to balance our Professional and personal life and for people who are into self-improvement
Now I am very excited to know about the 7 Habits ……
First of all I would like to thanks Rakesh sir for sharing such wonderful & interesting session with us that too in simpler manner. Rakesh sir started the introduction session with simple manner with good examples and by the time he started his session in more details I find it more interesting.
ReplyDeleteIn this session we came across with new word called ‘Paradigm shifts’. ‘Paradigm shift’ means as a change from one way of thinking to another.
For Example: In real life Amitabh & Abhishek Bachchan relationship is like Father & son whereas in the movie called “Paa” it’s vice versa. When I came to know that Amitabh Bachchan playing a role of Abhishek son in movie I was shocked to see the different between two. It was really a breath taking movement. That time my paradigm shifted towards Amitabh Bachchan that at the age of 67 he can play search a outstanding role in the movie.
Hope for the best that next session we will be more excited & we get to learn 7 habits in more detail.
Dear All, First of all I would like to thank all of you for giving such a nice comment on blog and writing on blog, it is because of you people we also get encouragement for writing each and every thing which comes to our mind, For example I was just reading Paradigm Shift examples, immediately once thing example came into mind which is as follow
ReplyDeleteEarlier I was having very negative approach for Mahatma Gandhi, I always use to think that it is because of him we have got our independence so late. This paradigm is developed in my mind because during my child hood I read lots of book on biography of “All Garam Dal People” like Bhagat singh, ChandraShekhar Azad, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bos etc. And during recent years we had couple of Movies on Sardar Bhagat Singh again these has also gave sort of negative approach for Mahatma Gandhi. One day I was travelling with Rakesh and we were just discussing certain point and I had given my opinion about Mahatma Gandhi hoping that Rakesh will also support me. But He immediately replied me that boss just think about that person “what he was and about his principles which he has followed in his life”. I was arguing with him “on a particular instances which I saw in movie called Bhagat Singh” i.e. If he (Mahatma Gandhi) would have signed a piece of paper, death sentence would have been stopped for Bhagat Singh and other two. Here if we think from angle of a normal person, we all will think that he has not done right thing and because of him Bhagat Singh and other two hanged. But Mahatma Gandhi has not done because it was against his principle and he has not diverted from his principle and was stick to his principle. Then I have given a thought on this and again I saw movie Mahatma Gandhi. You will not believe, this time when I saw movie I was purely concentrating on his principles and realised that really he was a great personality.
This has really changed my Paradigm about Mahatma Gandhi now every time I see or hear about him I really respect him.
What I will request you people is that just analyse your self you will find many of examples which you can share on blog.
Like to thanks all for this wonderful session we had, with good discussion & example given by all of us. When the introduction start by Mr Rakesh the way he started with good example all of us got more motivated from that example & then we all started thinking out of box & shared good examples for the introduction.
ReplyDeleteIntroduction Points Were :
(Roots of Effectiveness )
(Maturity Continuam )
( Paradigm Shift)
This three points made us to learn how to judge & manage our personal & professional life. In Roots of Effectiveness make us to learn more about characters & Success related to human being.
Maturity Continuam : This is my motivation line to be successfulmen in life "There is no 'I' in 'TEAM' but there is an 'I' in 'WIN' ."
Paradigm Shift : For eg : When India won the 20 20 world cup my thought process for Indian team changed.
Eagerly waiting for next session to attend.
Hi All
ReplyDeleteI had to take a long breath after reading your experiences about the points discussed in our session. Would thank all of you for your contribution to this web corner.
I think you people are just amazing they way you are responding to this, and your approach to taking your life positively ahead. Keep it up
Believe me, you will understand the importance of these thinks in your life to come as these things you are getting in at such an early stage of life.
I have read everybody’s comments and could understand that all points were liked by you people and more importantly Personality & character, Paradigm Shift.
I think paradigm shift is the new and improved version of your thoughts process w.r.t some matter. So always be open to paradigm shift.
The biggest feature of Paradigm shift is that within seconds you are convinced with this new thought process.
Regarding Hajira’s comments for negativity in life, I think one should learn the art of using the negativity to work for your advantage. We will discuss many things about how we can eliminate negativity in life in the coming sessions.
As far as diplomacy is concerned I think, it is the art of presenting your views in a structured manner so that no body fees bad about your views. May be it’s a part of your personality.
Any ways will discuss more things in the coming sessions. Thanks a lot.
First of all I would like to apologies for a delayed response on such a wonderful session.
ReplyDeleteThe session that came off was of great help & did the needful as we are in a gullible or say deceitful frame of mind where we feel that the knowledge that we seize is good enough to overcome our flaws. But when our thoughts are actually put to task we find many loopholes in and around them.
"Paradigm" how often have we come across this experience in everyday life? Hasty decisions, gregarious conclusions and wrong inferences. And by the time we realize what we have did there comes the "shift".
Group discussion thereby has helped me and in the future will help me in a positive way to explore my ideas and nurture my idealistic approach to get my basics right. The views shared and the opinions sort are the perfect add on to the existing knowledge and in the future I will surely put the right peddle to get the best out of these sessions and execute them as well.
