SECOND SESSION OF 7 HABITS.

The interaction we are having on Seven Habits is becoming more and more interesting at each step .

2nd session was more interesting as compared to the earlier one , the reason behind this was each one of has some idea about the discussion which was not the same in the first interaction.

Once again thanks to all of you for making this session interactive and more and more meaningful by adding on your experience as an example to understand each habit and its effectiveness.

Thanks to all of you and Mr. Rakesh , Mr. Manoj , Mr. Dilip and Mr. Rohit to join us and add their valuable comments on this session .

I am sure that each one of us has learned or understood some thing different in this session as compared to what we understood in the last session. So let us share that ……..

  1. It was good to see everyone more comfortable and relaxed in this session as compared to the earlier one. More and more examples and frequent interaction was seen in this gathering. Friends this is way we come to know many thing about which we are not aware of. Many time we feel that this particular topic should not be shared in public but we never know that after sharing that we may come to know some new information about the same for which we may have never thought. So group interaction is very important for all of us.

So far I was not at all aware about the clarity of the term “PROACTIVE” . I have heard it many time but never tried to understand it or never paid attention on it .

We have seen in life both the type of people Reactive and Proactive but I have never been able to analyze or segregate it . This was a very important part to make us understand rest of the details like Pause and Respond , Everything is created , Carry your own environment and COC & COI .

It was good to know that carrying our own environment is a part of Proactive ness .

Thinking and then doing was very nicely explained in a different word frame “Every thing is created twice “

And the best part was “Pause & Respond” which is very important for everyone in professional as well as personal life. I assure you friends, this will always help you to take right decision in life. Since childhood I have used this part of proactive ness maximum time in life and whenever I have missed it I always have to be obliged for it.

I suggest you all to think some thing different to add in the next session where we are going to discuss on “BEGIN WITH END” .

Hope to have much much more good and interesting session next time as compared to the good interactive session attended so far .

Waiting for you all to share your views on the same …………..

  2. Yesterday's session was indeed interesting and interactive. I really enjoyed the session along with my colleagues. One of the most difficult task assigned to us was to tell weather a person with whom we deal is a proactive or reative person. On the spot it was really difficult to tell neways to an extent we all are proactive and reactive. Some proactive people can also become reactive if the get exhausted in a certain situation. And some reactive people can become proactive provided they get a control over a situation. eg of a reactive person becoming proactive. Initially begin with an idea I CANNOT DO IT AND STILL DO THAT PARTICULAR TASK , and later on having feeling i can do it while perfoming the same task.

Although i made certain interruptions in between with my comments here and there but over all I enjoyed as I could see all of us were engrossed in the session and laughed our lungs out.....

Waiting very eagerly to attend the next session

  3. Hi,
    Good Morning To you all

I enjoyed the second session more as compare to first one, In first session I don’t know what to speak and how to speak but after the 1st session i opened my self for the 2nd session We attended the second session on The first habit of highly Effective People that was

    “Be Proactive”

In the first habit there are many point we discuss which is given below

    1)What is Proactiveness
    2)Type of People
    3)Carry your Own Enviorment
    4)Every thing created Twice
    5)Pose and respond
6)Circle of Concern and Circle of Influence
    7)Become a transition person

All the point of first habit are such a Wonderfully Explained By Rakesh Sir with Exmple for that I want to say Thank you to Rakesh sir.
All the point I want to apply in my Day to day life from now onwards
First thing which I want to apply in my life that is Pause and respond

In my life, Most of the time I did not use the space whenever the situation or event comes in my life I just take the action on that whether it is negative or positive it is depend upon Situation. After this session I learn how to use the space. From now onwards whenevr is the situation comes I just take a space and then I reply

Waiting for second Habit and session eagerly

  4. Since childhood whenever I say anything wrong or react to that particular situation without thinking even for a second, my parents always use to say think 100 times before you speak out anything, control your tongue etc etc…, coz once u say a particular word u cannot take it back. Your language, the way you speak defines your personality. I always use to think who has the time to think 100 times, its better I respond to any situation then & there & finish it off. But I forgot that it creates long lasting impact on the mind of opposite person.

In yesterdays session the very good point came to know is that many times I missed the important space between event & action. I’ll try to use that space much more time henceforth. Its not that I have been always reactive to each & every situation, but I think out 10 situations I was proactive only for 4 situations.

“Everything is created twice” it is very true one is sketch image & the second is refined one. Everything can be done in a better manner.

One more point I really liked is that think about the factors that is in our control rather than thinking about the factors which is not in our control.

Waiting for the next session very excitedly….

  5. Firstly I really want to thank Rakesh Sir for explaining all the things in such a simple manner and on and on explaining all the concepts with live and practical examples which helps us to believe that how these 7 Habits are part of our day to day life, at that point of time I wished that time stops and the session continues.

I m feeling that we can work on these points only when we do our self analyzing that whether we are reactive or proactive based on that we can work on how to react in a particular situation and properly utilize the space or time frame before reacting or getting into a conclusion.

Then moving forward and focusing more towards the Solution i.e COI rather focusing on how big or small the Problem is i.e COC.

And once we know that in most of the events we have been reactive or proactive we can move towards the transition phase accordingly

As the session is progressing at each stage its leading towards the improvement as whole in all of us and by the end of remaining sessions I hope we all will look towards the life in totally different manner, the way initially we were looking …..

  6. Have learnt many more things for second session it was very fantastic session we all were very eager to attend the second session & have attended yesterday we came to know more about the effectiveness of our life. Today when i was coming to office saw one of the person was reading the book of 7 habits of highly effective people just i asked him is this book is knowledgeable he said its good to read so again i asked him have you used any of the habits which is return in this book in your life he saw my face & laughed, i was shocked then i thought just for the sake of reading, he is reading that book.

I Feel we are very luck in this case that we are not only getting theoretical knowledge but also practical through various examples shared by our colleague & senior management.

All the points where very interesting & knowledge able for us & even came to know more about proactive ness.

Carry your own environment like to share a good examples said by Salman Khan in dus ka dum when Dharmendra & Sunny came on that show Salman said sunny is the person who carry is own atmosphere like he is very focus towards his work.

Pause & Respond this is the good point for us to learn that when we are in some discussion weather its official or personal we have to pause & reply the things.

  7. Guys,

Everyone of us has the urge to grow and we all want that we excel in the areas we work in.

What requires is a RIGHT ENVIRONMENT.

It is not only you as team members but we a the heads also want that the right environment exist in the organisation where in we all flow in the right direction all together.

This is what a team approach is called where we all come together to learn understand and grow..

It is inspiring to listen to our team members who have handled crisis situation which does not require and management degree but a SIMPLE COMMON SENSE AND A WILL TO PERFORM for their own shake so that when they analyse them self they have the feeling that yes! I've done it..

And tell you guys that is Inspiring..

Guys let the groove continue and grow

    Cheers..

  8. Hi All,

Second session taught a very good lesson of life. Instant negative reactions and harsh words spoken without a thought can create a negative impact on the other person. Taking a pause and using the space is a better way to react on a situation.

The session gave a clear picture of circle of influence. It is inspiring to realize that in choosing our response to circumstance, we powerfully affect our circumstance.

This session was more about realizing our ability to face any problem. At start i was very confident that am reactive but as session came to end i realized not every time but many time i am reactive. but now i will be moving towards pro-activeness.

Its not easy to adopt new habits in life but remember "If you don't act on life, life will act on you".

  9. In this session we came to know our 1st habits that is “Be Proactive”
The word “Proactive” means you solve matters before they become an issue. I think it's essential for a good developer to switch between reactive and proactive modes. Know where to focus and what's important and what isn't & simultaneously the word “Reactive” means you solve matters as they arise (Negative factor). Reactive - is boring, frustrating, painful, unrewarding, unfulfilling and illogical (when you consider what most of us want).

One of the interesting things about my work is that I get the opportunity to see how people 'work'... how they're worried.
    Typical behaviours, thinking, attitudes, reactions.
How they deal with situations, circumstances, events, good stuff, bad stuff; life etc.

I've learned that most people, most of the time are reactive not proactive.

We tend to spend our life reacting to events, situations and circumstances, rather than creating and shaping them.

  11. In second session we have learned about the first habit that is Proactive, when start thinking proactively and we will set our mind to take action. Just like that.
e.g. one person want to start his own business, Reactive person think that I don’t have enough capital to start a business. And proactive person thinks I want to start a business, now he finds the way how to get the capital for it.

To be proactive is then to choose how we respond to what is happening around us. We need to take the initiative and not react to only what we see as the reality. It also include
Circle of influence and circle of concern, how to being “proactive “

We have seen many successful businesswomen’s have something in common. They have struggled with maintaining Career and their personal life. We are inspired by strong female role models -- their mothers. E.g Indira Gandhi

It would take time to implement but not impossible…

  12. Good to hear such a meaningful example Jyoti. It is a fact that for every now start there will be some pause or problem but our main aim should be to take out solution for the problem and not to think on the problem .

Major people have the same problem in their life due to which they are not able to come out of problems and they tend to increase the number of problems .

I am sure that every one of us will be benefited with this information of seven habits and implementing the same in their life will bring up in life and will never allow u for downfall.

Take all the minute details of this session as a important thing of life which will definitely help you become EFFECTIVE in life.

Once you are Effective success will be behind you.

Hope each one us has seen the new movie of Amir Khan "3 Idiots " , if not i would suggest you to at least watch it once. I am sure that you will like it and learn some thing new from it .

    Thanks bye.....
