Stretched sessions for most of us .

Comments on the last sessions shows the interest we all have towards the learning and understanding of this seven habits to make our life effective .

Now we have come to a different kind of discussion where the victories are different .

So far we have studied and discussed the 3 habits which were of private victory now we are talking about public victory , we are not the alone in the circumstance to become effective . We have to consider the environment too.

Let us share with all about what we have understood in this session about THINK WIN WIN .

This session had a long conversation and debate on Urgent and Important work . After that discussion I am able to make out that many of us has not clearly understood for what the discussion was going on. I have noticed a lot of confusion by many of us and not sharing with others and not coming out with questions .

I want to tell you friends that do not keep any apprehension in your mind and please clear it out by sharing it with everyone , other wise you may live in some wrong assumption about a particular topic and will explain the same to someone else . So friends we are here to gain and share right information and knowledge towards life which will help us in professional , personal and social environment .

There were many thing which I understood after that debate and discussion I had with everyone . This blog is an added advantage to all of us to share our thoughts after each such sessions .

Do not miss it and share your experiences of life related to this Habit .

Your understanding about the Habit 4 .

Your views on the long hour discussion .

Your anxiety to know more about Seven habits .

Your plans after seven habits session gets over .

I have a habit of sharing the points discussed with few of my selected friends . Hope many of us would be having . Do inform everyone .

  1. A THOUGHT PROVOKING SESSION THIS TIME .....

Please check the below link that i found useful while differentiating between urgent and important
    http://www.time-management-basics.com/time-management-urgent-v-important.shtml
and how analysing urgent work and important work plays a imp role in time management.

THINK WIN WIN . This habit states its very important to have this mind set in our daily human interaction which deals with fair compromise where where both the parties feels they have won in some way....
    so on and so forth...
as an alternative to win win situation we have no NO DEAL SITUATION: when none of the party finds suitable to enter into a contract...
other types of negotiation included , win lose , lose lose, lose - win

Out of these negotiation win win / no deal is best to practice in our daily life.

Will share some more points later on...

  2. I think this session was blank for most of us .
Dear Friends , was the discussion too long that we are not able to remember any thing about what we understood in the last session .

I feel in this session we have almost revised everything what we have discussed till now . So there should number of options with regards to various point which can be mentioned in the comments section .

Hope you remember some thing so that the efforts taken to make this session effective is not wasted.

  3. We should have Win win mindset whenever we are entering into any interaction/agreement, so that both the party should be happy /satisfied at the end of the conversation. I believe the people with win lose attitude are very competitive in nature, they always want to win at any cost. But again it all depends on situation & the relationship with the opposite party.

The person with strong EBA will manage to think win win or no deal. Win win or no deal says it’s better to quit rather than hurting any one to prove ourself right.

Initially when Think win win topic started there was lot of confusion in my mind, we were discussing only about deal, agreement but when Ruchi shared her personal example too then it was very much clear to me.

  4. Dear Friends, as I mentioned earlier we all got the path to move … now moving ahead on it. So far I have analyzed that if we are implementing these habits in our day to life even for a week, the moment we are not following them we realize that we are not moving according to our Mission Statement.

These habits have made me to do on & on Self Analyzing on me & my behavior which will help me to achieve my Private Victory and will lead me towards wining hearts of other’s too

In our day to day conversations we all conclude that we fall in Win Win, Win Lose, Lose Win, Lose Lose or Win Win – No Deal situation. But I feel these situations are temporary as it can change by deposits or withdrawals in our Emotional Bank Account (EBA).

I feel I need to have a lot of courage, act, react or behave with others with Maturity to have more deposits in EBA only then I would be able to move towards Effectiveness.

Looking forward to attend remaining sessions…..

  5. “Wealth without a rich heart is an ugly beggar”

Getting to know about the Emotional Bank Account was nice. But it’s so difficult to understand people whether they are really good or they are just pretending to be good. Doing right with the right person makes we feel good but when we do something good to someone and later we come to know that the person is just pretending to be good to you, it feels so bad that we make a mind set “everyone is alike”. But the session changed my mind set, not everyone but some people are hopeless.

Making WIN WIN or NO DEAL is a very fair decision. I am always satisfied with my decision unless someone else makes me realize it was a LOSE WIN decision. But now after the session I can self realize whether I am making a WIN WIN, LOSE WIN, WIN LOSE, LOSE LOSE decision or shall i go for NO DEAL.

Public victory is a very difficult but essential task to be effective…

  6. Our topic was Think Win Win every one must thought that think win win is you think the situation make some plan work on it & win win the situation but when this session got start we have good discussion on Human Interaction like Win-Win, Win-Lose, Lose-Win, Lose- Lose each one was giving their onw views & example on human interaction major all of them said their should be always win win or win-win - no deal the one should have strong deposit in their EBA to make the situation win win or no deal

  7. Now its time to make our personality strong, as first 3 habbits were more emphasizing on character. So, as we learn a person should be good in character so when we get into any transaction or any discussion we always see to it that we should end at the point where both the parties should satisfied. This habbit tells us the same we should conclude on “WIN – WIN” situation where both the meet their requirements.

As there can be WIN-LOSE , LOSE-WIN or LOSE-LOSE situations also but being a strong character we should think about others as well (as we learn in our previous session that our Character should be good) to make our “EBA” strong.

Also there are “NO DEAL” option so that nobody should get harm by any deal.
And we can switch on to other options.

  8. The last session was about Think win-win. Before sir had spoken i had just collected few idea's on win-win. But my perception towards it was what ever the situation is we have to win any how, but when sir started it, it was a complete paradigm shift. Sir had mention it in previous session that the next habit is all about public and also personal, but to my mind it was only personal, as you can say my EBA was low.
The session included 4 situation Win-Win, Win-Lose, Lose-Win, Lose-lose. Good examples were placed on every situation. Arvind sir had given a good example of sit cover which we had discussed it with every type of situaiton. The important topic in the session was EBA(emotional bank account). The EBA reminds me of the movie Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic were Rani Mukarji explains the children that, for every good things they do God gives them a plus point and with this points they get a gift later. In order to achieve a win-win situation our EBA has to be strong. Now before doing any thing i think that doing this will reduce or increase my EBA.
I have made mind set that what ever i do it must be a " WIN-WIN".

  9. Hi,
    Guys

    Good Evening

After attending the 4th Habit of Think Win-Win we should understand that whenever we are in some deal or conversation or relation etc..we have to think about benefit of our self as well as the opposite person

When ever we are into a discussion the four situation arise Win-win, Win-Lose, Lose-win, Lose-Lose

The best thing in the 4th habit was the EBA (Emotional Bank Account)
There the many factors that Raise our EBA level

From now onwards I want to set up my mind for the win-win situation and I want to Increase my Deposit in EBA level as much as possible

  10. Win-win means solutions that are equally beneficial and satisfying in our day to day life. Thinking win win in mind is to set a goal to achieve ur target in a particular field.

Many people think in terms of either you're nice or you're tough. Win-win requires that both. It is a balancing act between courage and consideration. To go for win-win, you also have to be that much confident. You not only have to be considerate and sensitive, you also have to be brave.

To make our Emotional Bank Account (EBA) strong we need to deposits all goods things & withdraw all bad things from our life. As soon as we start implementing EBA in our day to day life then definitely people will remember us for our good things rather then bad things. What ever we have deposits in our EBA is for long-term benefit we will get to hear good things from our near and dear onces or from somewhere else too.

  11. Last session we have discussed about 1st public victory that is Think WIN - WIN basically, every time we interact with others it fits into one of these categories:
    Win/Win, Win/Lose, Lose/Win, Lose/Lose, Win/Win or No Deal
In order to Think Win-Win, we need to have confidence in our self. We will be happy to see others being successful. Win-Win as a frame of mind which constantly seeks mutual benefit in all human interactions to grow a Win-Win mindset, we need to focus on our Emotional Bank account. We should have more deposits in our Emotional bank Account. We can increase our deposits with the help of following qualities like Integrity, Maturity, forgiveness, apologies, kindness and we have to save it. So we can be win-win in day to day situation and relationship also. Public victory is really very difficult to implement in this practical world. But definitely we accept this challenge because
“Being only successful is not enough we should also be a good human being”

  12. A person who thinks about win win have to be very confident as well as with lot of courage

Win-win actually is a consent of both the parties where both are satisfied with some benefit after the interaction .

I have read some were that a person or organization that approaches conflicts with a win-win attitude possesses three vital character traits:

    1. Integrity: sticking with your true feelings, values, and commitments
    2. Maturity: expressing your ideas and feelings with courage and consideration for the ideas and feelings of others
    3. Abundance Mentality: believing there is plenty for everyone

After this session many of us will think of depositing more and more in our EBA account . This was something very new to us .

Beside this there are other aspects also like lose win , win lose and lose lose which we have not discussed properly .

Many time lose win situation arises in our life but we never pay attention on it so that it does not occur again . We need to understand that and take out some solution for it .

Let see if we can have a better understanding about lose win situation in the coming session .
