Excellence

During one of the Cricket match in Mumbai, Amir Khan was sitting next to Sachin Tendulkar. In is next day interview to one of the leading news paper, Amir releaved that during the course of match, Sachin was forecasting the way the bowler would bowl the next ball and to his awe, it went exactly the same, most of the time.

Amir was awed by the perfection and excellence of sachin in his game ( though Amir is also one of the known perfectionist and we have seen that )

In the Book Talent is overrated, the author has researched that all the top performers have put it there consistence effort in the area of work they are into. During most of their preparation, it was not the competition with other that they have focused, but it is to overdue oneself has been the constant area of effort.

During the course of our working days, the most satisfied days are the one, where we have overdone ourself, stretched our limit, and have raised the bar for us...

and that should be the consistent effort...

  1. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. Aristotle Greek

I believe , one can achieve excellence thru our consistent endeavors and positive mind set by carrying our own positive environment irrespective other external disturbances...

practice the set of actions daily and then it will be part of you... Do it repeatedly
This act is applicable to all walks of our life

  2. Recently after Chennai and Mumbai IPL match Our Indian Cricket team Captain MS Dohni gave his comments about Master Blaster sachin Tendulkar and he said "Sachin is such a person who is always aware about the feild setting and has his pre plans to hit the ball in which direction and no one can stop him doing that if he is very sure to hit that "

Sachin and his type people do not become perfectionist within a day or 2 , it is a result of complete dedication and hard work . Even after so much years of experience Sachin is the only person in the INdian cricket team who does practice for maximum number of hours in a day as compared to anyother player .

  3. Hi All,

Perfection has always remain topic of interest for many people including me. Even I would like to be perfect or perfectionist. But i believe that no body is perfect , every body strives for perfection. Every body wants to be more and more perfect. But perfection can never be achieved, Because its a undefined term.
Some times i also think that how good is it to be perfect the cost involved in being perfect may be too high.
Just a thought which flashing my mind is that instead of being perfect one should try to be effective.
Some of the quotes i have heard "Nobody is perfect"
"Practice makes a person perfect" i think that confuses people like us.
as a Chinese proverb says "Gold can not be pure and people can not be perfect"
So even i would work on being more and more effective.
